In August 2015 my wonderful husband surprised me with a visit to the local SPCA to pick out a kitty! This was a huge surprise because after our cat of 16 years passed away (and her brother three years prior) I promised my husband, who is not a cat lover, that we would be cat free and I stood true to my word. However ten months with no cat and my husband could see I was missing having a cat in my life. I mean, yeah, I'm a Pagan knitter, of course I miss having a cat.

Interesting little factoid: My daughter turned 13 this year (August 2016) and my husband, the man is no fan of cats, decided she needed an extra special birthday present to celebrate her entrance into teenagerhood.
